Providing education with real life skills and moral values is one of the core objectives of the Department of English Language & Literature (DELL), City University. Curriculums have been designed to promote critical thinking, creativity, and an openness to learning so that students will have the knowledge and skills to address the challenges of the 4th industrial revolution. The clubs of the department are quite instrumental in flourishing the creative faculties of learners and in motivating them toward the cardinal pursuit of higher education. Along with academic activities, the department organizes a number of Seminar and Workshop , Debate and Quiz Competitions, Dissertation Seminars, Inter Batch Spelling Competition, Poster Paper and PPT Presentation, Students Teaching Students, Food Carnival and Pitha Uthshob, Club Carnival and Prize Giving Ceremony, Ode to Spring, indoor and outdoor sports, and other co-curricular activities to enhance the multidimensional soft-skills of the students and to transform them into human resources. The department works closely with the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and follows the guidelines of the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF). This continuous process is a clear manifestation of the department’s commitment to achieving the highest standards of academic excellence.
