Introduction
The words 'culture' and 'Education' are complementary to each other. A society based on humanity can be created or developed through decent cultural exercise. We need to enlighten our minds for the sake of humanity. And for this, there is no alternative to cultural exercise.
The ability to feel literature, art, music and to carry them in our minds is key to constructing an enlightened society. Dance, songs, drawing, poem recitation, acting, etc. influence the tender mind of humans; and for building up a cultured society we must nourish them. Hence, realizing the significance of the co & extracurricular activities, the Department of English, City University has established the Cultural Club.
Mission:
Nourishing and bringing out the hidden talent of the students by encouraging and creating an opportunity for them to exhibit the merit they possess.
Objectives:
This club is the exact place for the nourishment of students' creativity and cultural aptitude as it arranges competitive events on singing, dancing, poem recitation, creative writing, painting, acting, etc. regularly.
The activities of the cultural club motivate students to develop hands-on learning skills by enhancing self-confidence, teamwork, discipline, communication skill, expressivity, and critical thinking power. Various colorful events organized by the club not only provide entertainment and relaxation but also make students understand varieties of cultures and practices as new exotic art forms from around the globe.
