Department of English Language and Literature ( DELL) introduces
“DELL CLUB AWARDS” from 2022-2023 ( Season I , Session 22-23) .
The Awards recognise outstanding students who have made a difference & demonstrated excellence in academic fields , research and Club activities at English Department .
They will be nominated and finally selected by the Faculty Members, co- convenour , convenor of respective clubs and HoD of DELL from the students of different batches/ programs and clubs for their consistent -remarkable contribution/s all the years round ( at least for 2/3 years).

1. DELL Student of the Year Award: 2022-2023
The Student of the Year Award recognises outstanding students who have demonstrated excellence in academic fields and Club activities at the Department of English Language and Literature (DELL).
Ways/how to win the Student of the Year Award:
● Discipline: Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to their study and maintain a high level of discipline in their training and performance.
● Punctuality: Candidates must arrive on time and be prepared for all classes and participate in co-curricular activities .
● Compassion: S/he must have a significant depth of compassion.
● Attendance: S/he must take part in classes on a regular basis. (It is absolutely vital that s/he must attend class regularly. If s/he misses classes , it will interfere with her or his learning and have a negative effect on performance and grade. A prerequisite to success in any endeavor is "showing up", and classes are no exception. If you're not showing up to class, you're forfeiting every opportunity provided to you in the classroom) .at least 3 years.
● Leadership: S/he have to have shown initiative and leadership qualities in his or her efforts.
2. DELL Volunteer of the Year: 2022-2023
The DELL Volunteer of the Year Award recognizes those outstanding event volunteers whose unselfish and dedicated service to a Carnival or Event has made a significant difference in our department/community and mirrors the commitment to success for our English Family. The efforts that are put forth by volunteers to our festivals and events deserve our heartiest congratulations and recognition. It is for that reason that the DELL Volunteer of the Year Award is created.
To be eligible for consideration for the DELL Volunteer of the Year Award, the nominee shall:
● Be a current volunteer of DELL / Clubs of DELL
● Have provided significant enthusiasm, organizational assistance and specific expertise
● Be a volunteer of the Club Carnival or event for at least 2/3 years
● Have shown initiative and leadership in his or her efforts
● Have a positive attitude
● Have exemplified his or her dependability
● Have a significant depth of involvement
● Have made a difference to the Club Carnival or event
● Have received no remuneration for services directly associated with his or her volunteer duties.
3. DELL Promising & Creative Mind of the Year: 2022-2023
The Promising & Creative Mind of the Year Award recognises outstanding students who have demonstrated excellence in both academic fields and co-curricular activities at the Department of English Language and Literature (DELL).
Ways to win the Promising & Creative Mind of the Year Award:
● Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to their co-curricular activities along with academic study and maintain a high level of discipline in their attitude and performance.
● Candidates must arrive on time and be prepared for all events and participate in various co-curricular activities consistently.
● S/he must have a significant depth of compassion for the universe.
● S/he must take part in cultural programs on a regular basis. (It is absolutely vital that s/he must attend events regularly. A prerequisite to success in any endeavor is "showing up", and e events and programs are no exception.
● S/he must have a significant depth of passion for creating New Knowledge.
● S/he has to have shown initiative and leadership qualities in his or her creative efforts/ journey consistently at least for one (1) year.
