The motto of the Department of English Language And Literature is - Learn Lead & Serve and for learning, leading, and serving one needs to practice Discipline, Integrity, and Compassion. With these ideals in mind, the department is working relentlessly to flourish the potentials of students. The department focuses not only on developing the academic skills but also the soft skills of the student. The Department of English Language And Literature boasts of the dedicated and skilled Faculty Members who never fail short of their efforts to guide the students academically and morally. Some of them are acclaimed nationally and internationally.
There are five full-fledged operational clubs in our department i.e. C E L L -City University English Literary Lounge (Literary Club), Sports Club (SC), Language and Debating Club (LDC) , Cultural Club (CC) and Art of Good Life Club (AGLC). These clubs are run under the direct supervision of the faculty members & senior students and play an instrumental role in developing the soft skills and dormant talents of the students. Two more clubs Photography Club and Career Counselling Club (Proposed) are likely to start their function very soon. With all these resources the department ensures an atmosphere of quality education. The Department of EnglishLanguage And Literature has one Official Facebook Page and one Facebook Group where the students can get all the updates of the department.
