Rajia Akter has been working as a lecturer in City University from 14th February 2025. Previously she has worked as a freelance translator for dRi. Her scholarly pursuits extends beyond the classroom as she actively explores interdisciplinary intersections among literature, sciences, philosophy, and cultural studies.With a keen interest in linguistic diversity she is currently learning French and Japanese to deepen her understanding of comparative literature, translation studies, and global literary traditions. She is also an ardent writer and photographer. She believes in the transformative power of literature and wants to inspire students to think critically, express themselves with clarity and confidence as well as practice a sense of respect for the ‘other’.
